Inspired by the chunky Detroit-style pizza, The Square Pizza Society is really a breath of fresh air in Split’s ever-growing pizza scene that has generally been shifting more and more towards the Neapolitan style. The Square Pizza Society bake their focaccia-like sourdoughs in rectangular casts to maximize the crusting. Unlike their American inspirations, the ‘doughy’ Detroit- and Chicago-styles, TSPS kept the ‘traditional’ order of the ingredients, with the tomato sauce on the bottom and the cheese on top, creating a one of a kind hybrid. To top the offer off, the little eatery also serves some delicious Aperol Spritz on tap.
