Peristil Vibrez Festival, organized by Hrvatski dom Split, will take the center stage in the city through the four days between September 13 to 16. It will feature renowned Croatian pianist Ivo Pogorelić & the Zagreb Soloists, and international musicians the duo Igudesman & Joo, and Billy Cobham/Spectrum. The event will take place at the iconic symbol of Split Peristyle Square.
The director of Hrvatski dom, Vanesa Kleva, has stated the organizers’ hope to use the festival as a way to bridge the gap between cultural and touristic offerings in September.
On September 13 and 14, Ivo Pogorelić and the Zagreb Soloists will perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto in F minor and Tchaikovsky’s Serenade. This performance will unite the works of two compositional geniuses with the virtuoso musicianship of international piano star Ivo Pogorelić and the famous Soloists, who have held almost 4,000 concerts on all continents in the world’s largest centers and most famous concert halls.
Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo, who combine humor, classical music, and pop culture references in their unique and funny theater performances, will present themselves to the Split audience on September 15. The duo, which has become an international sensation with over 50 million clicks, has delighted some of the world’s most famous orchestras and musicians who have been part of their “musical chaos.” This year, the charismatic duo announced their departure from the stage, making their concert in Split one of their last performances together.
Billy Cobham, generally acclaimed as jazz fusion’s greatest drummer will present himself to Split audience on September 16.
Tickets are already on sale and can be found on the Hrvatski dom Split website www.hdsplit.hr, on Adriaticket, and at their sales points (Morpurgo, Dancing Bear, Tisak Media Center in City Center One).
The ticket prices range between 25 – 100€.
