Mazzgoon
Mazzgoon is a small family-run modern restaurant with an eclectic and diverse menu covering various international culinary cultures. Tucked away in the narrow Bajamonti Street, just behind the corner from the magnificent porta franca, more widely known as the Iron Gates, of the ancient palace of Emperor Diocletian, Mazzgoon is located in a place dripping with history. With its fabulous terrace hidden away inside a small courtyard of one of Split’s old Renaissance palaces, Mazzgoon is definitely worth a visit for history aficionados. Their menu is rather unique and quite different from the rest of Split’s culinary scene, with a variety of unusual combinations such as ‘Dalmatian sushi’ or ‘deconstructed beef tartar’ which find their place in the ever-changing seasonal menus.
