Bačvice Open Air Cinema (Ljetno Kino Bačvice)

Bačvice Open Air Cinema, opened back in 1956, is one of the most peculiar cinemas on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Located just above the tranquil bays of Ovčice and Bačvice, the cinema is one of the few places in the country where one can enjoy a fully cinematic experience in the outdoors.

Since 2018, the cinema has been co-managed by Kino Mediteran, a sister company to the Festival Mediteranskog Filma and the Center for culture Zlatna Vrata. The program of the cinema mostly consists of independent productions, with a strong European note, and to a lesser degree commercial movies, film classics and movies for children. There is only one screening at day that starts at 21:00. The weekly schedule is regularly posted on the official facebook page of the event.

The tickets costs 6 EUR for the American productions and 5 EUR for everything else. They can be bought online or at the counter which opens an hour before a film is set to start.

Inside the premises drinks and pop corns are available for purchase.
