ST Burek
The authentic pastry of the Balkans.
ST Burek is a casually burek-centered eatery located in one of the pedestrian entrances to the Old Town. Burek is a type of pastry made out of layered flaky dough that is filled either with cheese, meat, or spinach (in the correct order of preference) that is a popular staple in all Croatian bakeries. In the past many burek-based establishments have come and gone in Split, but only ST Burek has remained. Their casual, old fashioned, diner-styled premises are a great place to try one of the pan-Balkan specialties for a very reasonable price. Burek is best appreciated with a glass of yogurt, either as a filling breakfast or an afternoon snack.
